About  Us

The Academy Project (TAP) is a 501(c)3 organization, founded in 2015, dedicated to improving the success of foster youth in Los Angeles by using education as a cornerstone of stability. With alarming statistics such as only 58% of foster youth graduating high school and a mere 1.8% completing a bachelor's degree, TAP addresses the critical challenges these young individuals face. Our vision is to create a supportive community where foster youth are empowered with the resources, skills, and guidance needed to become thriving, independent adults. We believe these outcomes are not inevitable and, through open-handed empowerment and supportive education, we aim to bring positive change to their lives.
